Quebec International, the Quebec City Chamber of Commerce (CCIQ) and the Quebec City chapter of the Quebec Economists Association (ASDEQ), invite members of the business community and the general public to take part in the activities organized in connection with the inaugural edition of "Rentrée Économique", which will be held from January 17-20.
"We plan to offer a wide range of complementary activities, with each providing a different perspective on regional, national and international economic issues in 2011. The goal is to provide local entrepreneurs and business leaders with a better set of tools," said Carl Viel, President and CEO of Quebec International, together with Luc Paradis, CCIQ President and Martin Hébert, President of ASDEQ's Quebec City chapter.
Quebec City 2011: economic and political outlook
The CCIQ will be presenting "Quebec City 2011: Economic and Political Outlook" at Quebec City's Capitole on January 18 from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. This event will provide participants with an opportunity to ask questions of the lineup of guest experts, who will analyze and comment on current events, in addition to sharing their views on the economic and political outlook for 2011. Pierre Jobin, TVA journalist and anchorman, will be the moderator. The guest experts include:

19th annual ASDEQ conference: 2011 economic outlook
ASDEQ's Quebec City chapter, in association with Quebec International, will be organizing an event at the Hotel Palace Royal on January 20 from 8:45 am to 2:00 pm, including forecasts by leading economists and entrepreneurs' viewpoints. The event will conclude with a presentation by Brian Bethune, chief financial economist for the US and chief economist for Canada at IHS Global Insight. Other guest experts include:

TMT Predictions 2011 to be held in Quebec City
In association with Quebec International, Deloitte will be presenting TMT Predictions 2011 at the Hotel Château-Laurier on January 20 from 7:30-9:30 am. This interactive breakfast conference will provide an overview of major trends in the area of technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) that are likely to have an impact on Canadian businesses in 2011. The guest speaker will be:
- Duncan Stewart, research director for Deloitte Canada and one of the organizers of TMT Predictions 2011.
