Québec International (QI) is proud to announce that it was honoured twice at the 2016 International Life Sciences Awards, established by Global Health & Pharma (GHP) magazine (owned by UK-based AI Global Media). QI, an economic development agency specializing in the Quebec City region, won Best Life Sciences Industry Development Agency-Canada, together with the GHP Excellence Award for Life Sciences Business Development.
Both awards recognize the dedication and commitment of professionals and organizations working to support the development and advancement of the life sciences and the related industry around the world. Known for its solid sector expertise and in-depth market knowledge, QI was honoured for its consultation efforts and inter-sector collaborative initiatives, which have helped to support and guide the life sciences industry in implementing innovative projects in the Quebec City region.

Canada's economic development champions
In its September 2016 issue, US-based Site Selection magazine unveiled Canada's Top 10 economic development agencies. For the 10th year running, QI is ranked among the Top Canadian Economic Development Groups (Canada’s Best Locations 2016), as selected by the magazine. The selection criteria included the number of projects with a regional impact, the capacity to generate regional partnerships, a proactive attitude, innovative programming and high-quality economic information and Web communication tools. These criteria are evaluated on a per capita basis.
