Québec International is the Québec City region’s economic development agency. But what exactly is an economic development agency?
With this question in mind, our team set out to showcase the array of services offered by our organization. One thing leading to another, we came up with the idea to collaborate with graphic design students from Université Laval to create a family of characters that illustrate our different lines of business.
We invite you to meet this family of ten birds, which can of course always count on the support of our HR and administration teams.
Let’s start the introductions with Pauline. This yellow warbler represents Québec International’s communications and promotion department.
Then, there is her little sister, Donna, a big fan of foreign market development.
But Donna is not the only globetrotter in the family, just ask Anne Tendresse, from the talent attraction and retention department.
A networking expert, Mr. Cui also has a passport full of stamps, as he spends a lot of time working in foreign investment prospecting.
Working more closely with Quebec businesses, Noémie, from the Techno-Tandem Regional Acceleration and Development Space (ERAC), and Martin, from the CEI Québec, will do anything to help local businesses innovate and use new technology to its full potential.
Then, we have cousins Bob, from Québec BVI, Jim, from Québec VITAE, and Craig, from Québec EPIX, who help strengthen the reputation of local businesses in the sectors of green and smart building, life sciences and health technology, and video games, animation and immersive experiences.
And last but not least, there is Edana, who has a true passion for helping the region’s technology startups at the incubator and accelerator LE CAMP to grow and reach their full potential.
