Here are some announcements that caught our attention these past few weeks and that helped promote the Québec City region’s ingenuity, creativity or determination internationally.
Coractive
Coractive specializes in the design and manufacture of optical fibre for industrial applications. To help maintain its position as a leader in its field, Coractive recently announced an investment of over $34M to build a new production facility, which will also become its head office, in the Espace d’innovation Michelet. This project, supported in part by our team, has received media attention throughout the world.

Les Aliments 2000
This business based in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures is well known in Quebec for its pizza dough, pie dough and pizza toppings. Its popularity has convinced a Quebec-based investment platform in the specialty bakery industry to acquire the company. From now on, Les Aliments 2000 will be operated under Bakery Humanity. This announcement was shared across the province of Quebec but also in countries where Canadian food products are available.

Eddyfi Technologies
Eddyfi Technologies continues to grow at top speed! The company specializes in non-destructive testing (NDT) technologies that help ensure the quality and safety of various types of equipment. To support its growth, it acquired UK company Senceive. This new addition to Eddyfi Technologies did not go unnoticed and will allow the company to increase its long-term monitoring capacities in the infrastructure sector.

AddÉnergie
AddÉnergie’s reputation is already well established in Quebec, with charging stations already present in several places across the province and Canada. The company also has plans for the United States. In fact, it is a new contract in the New York market that has retained the attention recently. A total of 120 chargers have been made and will be shipped and installed in the American city as part of AddÉnergie’s second major project in the United States.

Nine Dots Studio
This young video game studio based in Québec City continues to gain new fans of its most recent game, Outward. The game had already been noticed upon its release and has since grown in popularity, leading to large media coverage for the release of its additional downloadable content, The Three Brothers.
